Edited 10 months agoI think audiophiles will still be disappointed with this pressing. Certainly better than I’ve come to expect from jagjaguwar, but still has ticks and pops that didn’t get better with an ultrasonic cleaning, and some distortion (my cartridge would certainly be able to track it, it’s the vinyl). The music and the packaging are wonderful though, it at least makes up for it some. Jag needs to get their shit together.
There are very few things that I love more than a good-sounding vinyl of a great album that comes with a nice booklet full of beautiful pictures. Great art direction, great pressing. Moses Sumney and Jagjaguwar did a fantastic job with this one!
Such a deep immersive album. It sounds gorgeous on wax.

Such an amazing, immersive, deep record. Absolutely essential in my humble opinion.
Have to agree, the pressing is great, a lot better than most Jagjaguar- A pleasant surprise from JAGJAGUAR. The last record I got from this label, (Bon Iver 22 A Million) was one of the worst pressings Ive heard, but this record sounds wonderful, with little to no surface noise. A very interesting artist my son turned me on to. Radiohead meets Al Green.
- A terrific debut album, my only complaint is that it should have been longer! Amazing clarity and depth of sound on this pressing and the gatefold is very sturdy. Very pleased with this release.
