- If you're here and you don't already know Dr. John's Gris-Gris, I'd stop there next. Where Exuma is closer to folk music and Gris-Gris runs from blues to R&B and jazz, both share in psychedelicized voodoo with group chants and a lot of ensemble drumming. No less than Nina Simone covered Dambala. You Don't Know What's Going On remains as true as ever. I've got the Repertoire CD, I hear nothing wrong with it.
- Jordan Peele’s new film “NOPE” was partly inspired by this album - read more about it here: https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-features/jordan-peele-nope-exuma-1392780/?fbclid=IwAR3YSROtY7NRnYh8b5zBSU1hQErjVzh8_fLbKgld2p31y5ti9mRVnh-F4Fg
- If you're the type of rocking listener that can get a groove on with Amon Duul / The Godz / Dr. John (Night Tripper only) then put your lobes next to this missive, a blast of goodness for the folksy tripper.
