Reviews
- Edited one year agoBonafide classic!
Wonderful recording, great songs and impeccably played. Analogue reissue coming from Speakers Corner september 2021. - This album is generally considered to be a real gem by those fortunate to run into it. Just check out the side-men, and you will see what I mean. Even Walter Becker has given his imprimatur. BTW, Franks wrote all the songs as well as performed them.
The album swings like crazy (no doubt in part because of the side-men, the lyrics are all top notch:
"The music begins and the titles fade-in
Starring You and Me.
The Hero is struggling to say
That is lady is far away,
In her Prison of Wishes.
...
Love is like two dreamers dreaming
The exact same dream.
Just another technicolor
Romance on the screen"
