Reviews
- Edited 3 years agoWell, I'm usually fairly easy to please, even with my moderately high resolution system, but I don't know if Chris Bellman, whose work I normally frigg'n LOVE, was told that he couldn't mess with the master given him (like the very compressed NOT impressive Mastodon double LP Emperor of Sand - awful...) but, the sound to me is adequate, but hardly impressive. It is very compressed sounding with bloody EVERYTHING at the same level. It's not awful, by any means, but considering the lovely packaging and Chris Bellmans normally very impressive work, I honestly find the sound somewhat disappointing. I mean, I'm glad I have it, but just... : )
Just goes to show in my lowly and wretched opinion that it's always been Jimmy who is the sonic wizard, not Robert (although the song writing is of course just fine) You'd bloody think with his vast experience, he would defer to extremely gifted craftsman like Bellman. - Why isn't the other copy of this with the 2 x 12" single side etched got a mention about the first 1000 being signed? Can someone help, please?
- Side C on Carry Fire sounds a bit distorted Does anyone else experience this on their copy ? Please respond.
