Compared side by side with an original 1982 US release, the punch and dynamics are there, but not quite as pronounced and nuanced as the original. Thinking maybe they decided there wasn't enough headroom in the original, so they gave it some! Still a decent sounding press, but be ready with the volume knob. - I don't have an original to compare, but to my ears this is a great cut. Quiet vinyl and nice, punchy sound. That said, I have been through 3 copies and all have been warped. I gave up on getting a flat copy. Modern vinyl is rubbish.
- This sounds very different to the original UK cut. It's not as upfront, the vocals have way less impact, and there's significantly less top end. Beware!
