Show All 11 Reviews- I bought this in 2022 and there ist a impossible disturbing noise in the outro of Such A Shame. Exchange the record in the store - but new item with the same mistake.
Has anyone had the same experience? - Edited 9 months agoWoah! This pressing is amazing. Echoing some of the other comments, this is an audiophile quality. Super dynamic, amazing separation. Pressing quality is ok - a few more pops and clicks than I would prefer, but nothing too bad. Cannot compare to an OG, but considering the price I am more than satisfied with this.
- Comparing this with the 2012 (LP+DVD) release of their "Colour of Spring" this pressing is not so good... Lots of pops and ticks all the time and it sounds somewhat compressed. Not impressed.
- Edited 5 years agoUseless reissue? Not at all.
I normally try to avoid as much as possible reissues that do not state from which source it was mastered, or at least by whom, and there is no indications about anything here, but this pressing sounds incredible, at least as good as the luxurious reissue of Spirit of Eden (where all infos are stated). This is audiophile quality, i pay often more than double for things that do not always sound as good. The only way to top this up would be a Mint first press, and i am not even sure it would.
I have to say, this has been a few reissues in a row by Parlophone that i have been very pleased with (last one was La Question by Françoise Hardy)... those people are taking what they are doing (and us) very seriously, it's such a pleasure...
