I’ve had a troubling week and this album tonight has uplifted me. Thank you ABC. Spending my Friday night listening to this album was totally worth it. Cost me $5. The world is a good place once again.

Favourite track: All Of My Heart

This band only made one really good album, and this is the one, just magical from start to finish. The 80’s was the decade of fabulous music, you could almost buy anything, and never really get dissapointed. The golden days of daring music is gone, let’s cherish these golden nuggets of the very wonderful 1980’s music!.

One of the most dynamic pressings of any record I own. Unbelievable pop masterpiece track after track.

I've had this album almost 40 years. Still listen regularly, it's a masterpiece. I have to say putting Valentine's day as the inner track is asking a lot of vinyl! Mine gets quite distorted and my anti skate is nigh on perfect! There is so much going on in the track at the end. Maybe I have just played it too often!

One of my favourite albums from the 80’s. Sounds great on this pressing too.

                Incredible Album

Everything that made the 80s great, makes for a beautiful album on vinyl.

So many sold you can find them everywhere cheap, no reason for everyone not to have one in their collection, i bet you could easily demo speakers and systems with this one.

Because of this album I realised that cd wasn't as good as said in the early 80's
I had this album on vinyl and decided to buy the cd version with the intention to replace the vinyl.
It was a shock when came home and put it in my Yamaha cd player....it was flat and full , and not the sound to which I was used to hear from the lp.
I brought back the cd the next day with the statement, that my lp sounded far better.....there were some amazed eyes staring at me behind the counter :-)

Still now after 40 years or some i'm wondering how is possible to make a new album with all the tracks potentially hit singles. And some of them sound still nice today, timeless pieces.
A great production by Trevor Horn but all is flawless in music here, Anne Dudley made a great job indeed also, sound is maniacally orchestrated to result very close to perfection.
I don't discuss Fry's voice quality, the only criticism by my opinion is that probably in two or three pieces voice is too much invasive expecially towards the end of track (for example in Show Me or Valentine's Day) sounding heavy and annoying, instead take a listen to how is really fine and elegant to close a track as in Many Happy Returns or even better in All Of My Heart.
Anyway The Look Of Love remains one of the best gems of the entire eighties pop panorama.

A Pop masterpiece there I’ve said it. This was every where like a rash at the time . They never matched this level ever again and arguably there hasn’t been another pop album as good since.
I’m also beginning to think as others have that pop in the 80’s was the peak of it’s existence everything since is formulated.
