Reviews
- America at the height of their success presented live. They were on a long tour playing to thousands and thousands of rabbid fans, and yeah, it's clear that some of the songs are rushed and lack the nuance of the original studio versions. It's to be expected. They were exhausted from being on the road playing the same songs over and over again. If you've ever seen the video of America in Central Park NYC you'll see just how the playing and singing was affected by the giant crowds and the rush rush of getting on stage and banging out these songs.
America Live is a snapshot of a band that normally sat and played these delicate songs in a controlled environment like the studio or on live TV sets, but this is rock concert 101. - On mine the runout is vice versa and on side B slightly different:
Matrix / Runout (Runout area side A): BSK - 1 - 3136 WW 1 # 3 -⊲ KENDUN - a JG
Matrix / Runout (Runout area side B): BSK - 2 - 3136 WW 1 # 2 -⊲ KENDUN - a JG - Not a huge fan of this release, tons of promise with the set list, but very uninspired performance and treble seems cranked. Sergeant Darkness is easily the best performance here.
