One of the best glam albums released in my opinion. Sounds great on vinyl as well. All the tracks have super fantastic lyrics and vocals. Compared their non-album singles like Ball Park Incident and See My Baby Jive (which were released before the album), it's rather underrated.

Someone mentioned about having a remaster release. There already has on CD with bonus tracks, not on vinyl. Though I wouldn't want to see that. I don't agree with remasters in general with how they take all the rawness out of them and stuff.

    Would recommend this album.

An absolutely classic LP in every way... almost.

Featuring incredible songwriting, arrangements and performances from Roy Wood and his Wizzard ensemble - all at the top of their game. It’s almost like the singles that preceded this LP were just a candy-coated taster, cos this is so deeply-dipped in ring modulation that it can sometimes be a challenging listen, but one that definitely rewards the listener who revisits and perseveres.

Much as I love everything about this LP, I would LOVE to hear a remix. A remastering/ remix job on the original master tapes - emulating the same production values as those classic "mini-opera" ’72-’73 singles would freshen it up, and bring out the best of the performances.

Putting all those points aside, I believe this is EASILY the best Wizzard/ Roy Wood LP from his “golden era”. It shines a light on the incredible talent of Roy Wood, and captures the breathtaking fearlessness of what an eight-piece band full of players could capture in the studio - pushing the boundaries of (Glam) Rock ’n’ Roll in a way that no-one else could quite achieve.

4.5 Stars (not an option here, so awarded the full 5)
