The green version is unplayable. Very poor pressing. Clicks and crackles all the way through
Edited 6 years agoThere are some complaints about the vinyl pressing, for being printed in low volume and therefore there are some clicks here and there. Well, no surprise - each size length is nearly 27 minutes!!!
In vinyl pressing, the amplitude is physical. This means that loud volume consume more space on the record surface. According to most records manufacturers, the ideal sounds in 33.3 RPM can handle up to 18 minutes per size. You can get away with reasonable high quality sound in lower volume if the length is 18-22 minutes, with some reduction at the low and high frequencies in the last 4-5 minutes, with a little distortion in some cases. If the audio length is longer, they need to low down the volume of all size, and cut more low and high frequencies, to get a smaller amplitude on the surface.
So - if you want this album completely on one record, this is it - low volume, farther low cut, some distortion in the last 2 songs, surface noise and pops. If you want this album in hi-end audio quality, wait for a Double LP issue (there will probably press one at some point). Some songs of this album definitely deserve a single side 12" print in 45 rpm...

Much better press than the clear version, which was very poor..- whrere is the download code in clear vinyl edition? please anyone could tell me about it. thxs
- This is an overall 7.5/10 LP. OK, it's not Vauxhall and apart from Spent the day in bed, is VERY good. My favourite song is I bury the living but Israel is close. Brilliant tracks!
Buy and you most definitely will not be disappointed. 
There is a version of this which came with an exclusive Art Print from HMV I have added a picture..
