Reviews
Show All 15 Reviews- One the strangest and best records I own. Sounds awesome and the music is truly unique and enjoyable.
- Palto Flats Bandcamp selling Kakashi tote bags "In advance of Fall 2022 Kakashi vinyl repress. (LPs expected completion date late October/early November)", bring it on!
- Picked up a brand new, sealed copy today at a local record store outside Toronto for $28. Likely a repress.
- I'm late to the game as i've missed the original release of this reissue but, lucky me, i've managed to find a copy recently after listening to a digital copy for some time.
I obviously never have listened to an OG but i must say i'm surprised by the quality of this. It's a no-fuss-release but everything is spot-on: the record is flat, clean (thanks to the nice inner-sleeve) & totally noise-free.
The artwork is simple and the added insert is a nice bonus.
And, as far as i can tell on my decent set-up, the music feels rich & dynamic. An obvious improvement over the digital files.
The only way to improve this would have been to use a sturdy/tip-on jacket, use a variant of the OG labels and to add an OBI. But for the price i've paid this, i can't complain!
I wish all reissues were like that... - Extremely high quality pressing here. I'm pretty amazed at the quality, I usually don't expect that in a repress of something from 40 years ago.
- Palto Flats did a better pressing job on this than the Midori Takada LP thats for sure. I can't tell much of a difference between this and the OG. OG maybe a touch more open...
- I think this pressing sounds pretty good, nice separation in all the performances. Packaging/inserts is nice. I'm only familiar with this album through a youtube stream, and this sounds infinitely better.
