The "Realism / Visions" EP by Alpha Omega, released in 1996 on Reinforced Records, is a powerful jungle and drum & bass release that showcases the dark, intricate style typical of the era. "Realism" is a deep, atmospheric track with heavy basslines and sharp breakbeats, while "Visions" is a high-energy, amen-driven tune with lush pads and a haunting vibe. Fans of mid-'90s darkside jungle appreciate the EP for its complex sound design, although some feel the mastering quality could be better.

Visions is a monster. Nearest thing to Source Direct tunes of that era.

great period on reinforced where some of the guys really seemed to go into themselves big time, file under 'too much hash smoked in the studio'

Musically this is my favourite jungle / D&B 12" of all time. I just wish the mastering was better on this release! Unfortunately the sound quality is really quite poor, but I absolutely love both of these tunes. Realism is more darkside D&B typical of the '96 style with a fat reese bass and a restrained used of breaks, while Visions is an all-out amen smasher with lush, dreamy pads and deep sub bass
