- Edited 7 months agoOne of my favorite albums of all time - definitely a deserted island disc . Now 44 years old, "King Pennent", the follow up to the equally wonderful debut album, remains a comforting delight. It's filled with song you can sing along to at the top of your lungs. Clever ear worms, catchy hooks, sumptuous arrangements strewn throughout. The production is at once nostalgic and timeless and like crack for the ears. You will crave this music once it gets inside you, so beware! The original mastering plays well on modern equipment but what I would give for a Kevin Gray 45th anniversary update. Well a boy can dream, until then, I'll keep playing my well worn copy.
