Reviews
- Edited 3 years agoThis really is an essential album for fans of the P-Funk family. It is a classic with early trip hop elements and down tempo tracks like If 6 Was 9 or the go-go like rhythm of Animal Behavior which also reaches out to MMW’s Shackman organ work. Under the Influence is an unsung P-Funk anthem with Herbie at the keys! Bootsy sounds great and just when you were wondering where the horns were, Sax Machine throws down the literal link between James Brown and P-Funk. I’ve owned 3 copies of this since ‘95 and would buy 3 more tomorrow :) I think the new vinyl sounds great.
