I compared this pressing to my 1998 edition pressed at RTI.
This MPO pressing came in a nice rice paper sleeve, shiny black flat and quiet vinyl.
The sounstage is wider and I swear I heard stuff I've never heard before on my 1998 RTI pressing.
The RTI pressing is more bassy and perhaps too warm a sound, but I do enjoy it.
However this MPO pressing blew me away....killer wide soundstage and lots of great seperation.
Awesome sound!! The bass is really tight and all notes are very distinguishable...more so than with the RTI pressing.
Glad to have them both!! This is a top notch pressing!!

Agreed with the rest. It sounds beautiful, great funky and groovy beats.
Many thinks beastie boys is just loud and screamy hiphop but these sounds proves that they are brilliant musicians!! If You are in groovy-funky beats - go for it!!!

Great pressing, sounds beautiful. The one thing I never understood is why the vinyl tracklist differs from the CD version. On CD, Eugene’s Lament segues into Bobo On The Corner but on vinyl these tracks get cut off. Omitting the instrumental versions of Namasté and Lighten Up in favor of Futterman’s Rule is another weird decision. Nevertheless, both versions still remain amazing!

I just bought a mint copy in France. Same label, same barcode, and it sounds very good, with no specific noises on side A or B...
