Notes

Recorded in New York 1957
In the producer's liner notes You can find a detailed description of this studio session for the brand new "Design Records" label, founded in 1957. The nameless sextet was set up by Claude Hopkins on the wish of the producer only for this date early in the morning at 4 a.m. There are no informations about the date, the studio and the names of the recording engineer or the producer.
There are two different versions of the cover backside and the labels:
This is the earlier one with an advertising ("Other popular Design albums for Your enjoyment") at the bottom and "Spectra Sonic Sound" on the label

Enjoyable sounds to make you feel like you're in New Orleans again. I did feel like some tracks were out of place towards the end, but overall it is a decent album that holds up well.
