Notes

Recorded at Electrical Audio while autumn fell.
U.X.O. is unexploded ordinance is landmines is cluster bombs.
All of it mixed at thee mighty Hotel2Tango during snowfall & first bloom.
09-15-00 is sept.15,2000 is Ariel Sharon surrounded by 1,000 Israeli soldiers marching in Al-Haram Ash-Sharif & provoking another intifada.
Love to; hugsam, jem, j.s., si.
Though godspeed is guilty of profiting from hateful chainstore sales, we encourage you to avoid giving money to predatory retailers and superstores. & hope still, a little resistance always maybe, stubborn tiny lights vs. clustering darkness forever ok? thankslovegodspeed

Side D features some extra material that is not on the CD:
Track D1 (track 5 on CD) has a longer introduction, with two more ambient parts before the one that is in the beginning of the CD-version.
Track D2 contains silence.
Track D3 contains a George W. Bush sampled and cut-up speech and applause.

This label, Constellation presses horrible sounding records. and this one is no exception. Save your money and buy the files because this sounds heavily compressed. All the instruments are blended in together in one huge and imposing bloc. There is no soundstage, no dynamics, it feels as though the music is all in your head. No feeling whatsoever. Too bad because the music is really good...

Just gave this the first listen in few years, after a wet clean/anti-static run and on an updated setup (Rega P1+ with Audio Engine A5+ speakers). I am left a bit crestfallen; every side has persistent surface noise and lacks real separation. The guitars sound fine (just that) and bass can be resonant, but the drums feel absent. Any tension building sections don't deliver due to pops and muddy climaxes. Side D sounded acceptable even though the surface noise persisted.

Some folks claim this is their worst album. I couldn't disagree more. So many chilling, cathartic crescendos and gut-wrenching climaxes. It's a solid album by far. I also agree that the wax draws like a pencil, excellent sound.

This is the only album that willingly induces anxiety and depression while listening, yet you can’t turn it off because it’s just magical.

absolutly love the sound of this album, might be biased bit it doesn't feel the same listening on digital. also doesn't have the ending hidden track on streaming

It would be NICE to know where the hell this is pressed. About all I could find out is that it was mastered at Abbey Road, and comes from the Canadian label: Constellation (CST Records) BUT... where is it pressed...? Canada...? Optimal...? Be nice to know guys...

This is the definitive version of the album. I've never listened to the George W Bush track until now. It's absolutely haunting, despite being a product of its time. "we encourage you to avoid giving money to predatory retailers and superstores" Well I'm glad I bought it in a local store

Were there multiple pressings of this? My copy has a 12.25"x12.25" piece of paper with the same art as the back cover, and I can't find any info on why exactly my copy has that

Is it just me or does the last five minutes of "09-15-00" sound like a slow cover version of Big Star's "Holocaust"?

IMO this is their best material, a very sad soundtrack of human failure.
