My favorite Metheny album, hands down. More words blah blah.

      Sounds brilliant.

The Epic is amazing… takes you places…one of Pat’s best.

Th runout on side 2 was originally etched with "ECM-B-1155-B-WA-2" but the "B" was scratched out and replaced with "1". It now reads "ECM-1-1151-B-WA-2"

I think it's one of the most beautiful records they ever made. A crystal clear sound (excellent production - watch the sky, on the cover), a bunch of wonderful little melodies, well structured (no free jazz, no exhausting guitar solos). Sometimes you feel like feathers flying around your head, especially on the opener. Still grooving on a sophisticated level, partly expanding into rock, this lp is one of my favourite 'wanna-feel-good? here-it-is!' records.
