Reviews
- Edited 3 years agoI have no idea what masters they used, or how they were cut, but I think this record sounds horrible compared to my first press Aus copy I bought when I was 9.
I expect the 30th anniversary "tri-colour" version sounds as rubbish as this one. A quite typical "CD pressed to vinyl" record. The bass sounds bloated and makes the rest of the album sound muffled. They must have used the CD remaster masters, I bet they are brickwalled, going by the vinyl! The blue colour of the vinyl is also awful compared to the original. It is a solid blue colour where as the Aus 1987 blue vinyl is a beautiful colour and was also transparent.
This is by far one of the greatest albums ever, buy an original Australian press from 1987 and avoid these re-issues!
