The style description Soundtrack, Dialogue, Movie Effects, Soul, Rhythm & Blues is perfect. I'd argue it should include Hip Hop because of how many lifts that have been taken from this gem. The album weaves from street scenes with sirens wailing to spoken poetry to jazz riffs and straight fire RnB. This soundtrack plays out like a movie one scene leading through the next until Sweet Sweetback wastes the hounds. What a ride. Every track sounds like a busy city block and you can bet something interesting is going down on every corner.
