This track made me fall into techno, rave 🙏🙏🙏
I was in collège ( France) and discovered on radio
I still remember this day and i am 45 🤟🤟- Edited 8 months agoIMO while TAF is The Classic (and I can hardly bear to hear it due to how massively overplayed it was), IMO the 611 Acid Groove mix is highly underrated and really technically the best track on the release*, it's really stood the test of time and works well mixed with both breakbeat and acid house.
* Well, other than really odd massive jump in DBs when it gets going that you have to remember to watch for. - Edited one year agoTweakin’ Acid Funk mix, a pure masterpiece of that era, reflecting the burn-out on the dancefloor, inimitable!!!!!!
Epic break acid collapse any brain ..... and any dancefloor who love acid house, strictly for Rave people- I remember playing the Tweekin Acid Funk mix in school back around '96. I thought it was a mind-blowing 303 trip into insanity (I still do).
But of course some of my classmates were less impressed. Some thought it sounded like a car alarm with the battery going flat, others simply shouted "TURN THAT SHITE OFF".
I wonder where those guys are now. - The Tweekin Acid funk mix is the only one worth bothering with. And it is a classic.
- Infectious intro that turns into contrived monotony quite quickly. Great to listen too once.........maybe twice.
Lets be honest...when you stack this against the mountain of acid house classics the world has produced.....this is scree.
My Strictly Rhythm pressing was terrible quality - end recording sounded really low and muffled.- The Strictly Rhythm release sold over 26,000 copies before being licensed out to Manifesto etc
