this is a 5 star masterpiece in my book. Dead quiet vinyl too. Right there or better than anything under the Huerco S moniker

Huerco S introduce us a very complex ambiant record which need to be listen more than one time to understand how subtile and remarkable it is. My personal favorite, OXI-GKK, emphasize that much. Btw, does anyone know why he had chosen such strange names for this album ?!

A repress on white vinyl. Buy it at Boomkat.

What's the pressing quality of the black versus clear version of this? In my experience non-coloured vinyl tends to have less surface noise and lends itself to a cleaner listen.

Price is up for this even after a 2nd pressing but given the current Boomkat repress policy (they're literally repressing all in-demand records: see Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, Abul Mogard, Shinchi Atobe etc) i believe this will be in the pipeline at some point too, for sure in their end of year list.

And this bring me to a point: it looks like the last 3/4 years (when we were flooded of limited pressing just for the sake of it or to make stay us, the customers, awake and vigilant on a stupid hype-scheme of instant buy and fast regrets) are finally over, leaving space to the more efficient "a good record must be available to more people as possible". This should be very welcome by everyone, because it will bring more attention from record labels and distributors regarding their marketed releases.

I must say I was hoping for another 'For Those Of You Who Have Never' but after repeated listens to Pendant it is obviously something entirely it's own. At first I was a little disappointed as the album seemed pretty repetitive but then IBX-BZC hit me about 4 mins in. A truly odd track and more so, it made me understand the mood of the album as a whole. As self described, more of middle ground music than background ambient. I would say even more pensive and intense than mid-ground music at points. The moods are almost nervous and erratic making the album far from relaxing. But, this may be a good thing as so many ambient albums are "calming tones" making this almost new territory. KVL-LWQ continues the theme with buried vocals and almost an actual beat. The overall sound palette for Make Me Know You Sweet is restrictive and disciplined and full of interesting edits and soundscapes making this a very unique listen in terms of ambient music. A solid contender for "ambient" album of the year so far. Bottoms up!

What am I missing here? Seems like really average (and a bit dull) ambient to me.

Nothing wrong with it at all, but in an ocean of average ambient records this really doesn't stand up as being anything special whatsoever.

Sorry hype fans, I can't get excited about this at all.

This is currently available in a small repress of 300 copies over at Boomkat.
