- The music might be good, but it's impossible to tell because it sounds so damn awful. Super muddy, making it impossible to distinguish the instruments and know what is going on, 99 percent of the time. I bought a copy but sold it after a few listens. A missed opportunity.
- Hype sticker on my copy reads "Strictly Limited Black Vinyl" edition, but no indication as to how many of these are pressed. Couldn't get info from Nuclear Blast on this as well, but much like they did with that last Madball release, it appears that the black vinyl is a European only pressing and is, at least in some form, limited.
- Edited 7 years agoAs an old COC listener, was looking forward to this album and return of Mr. Pepper in band, but unfortunately, what I got was very loud and noisy produced record, that sounds like it was demo recorded in someone's basement. Although this may have been band's intention to get more raw sound, I had hoped bands as big as COC have outgrown that. Pepper vocals are hardly heard on many tracks, there is almost no clean singing, instruments are loud, hardly any melodies in songs (that was COC trademark sound on "America's Volume Dealer" and "In The Arms Of God" records) and overall I find no enjoyment in listening to this record. Sounds more like DOWN record than COC. Was hoping Queen cover would somehow wash away the bitterness, but it failed miserably, as well.
