Some nice atmospheric soundscapes on many of the tracks, and if it had been contained to that, this may have been a very interesting album. But unfortunately, most of the tracks are ruined by '90s inspired sample rhythms, which means this is nothing to get excited about. Will anyone be listening to this in 100 years? I don't know, but I doubt it.

Inoffensive, glossy, tepid, directionless tracks. "CCCL" is exactly what you'd expect from Carter now: momentum but no melody to speak of; technically polished but without any particular ideas. "Post[-]industrial" is in the manner of Nine Inch Nails' "Ghosts I–IV" album; the rest sounds like John Foxx's "Tiny colour movies", and is about as memorable as that dull offering. Avoid.

Postscript: Bleep.com has listed this as one of the best albums of 2018. Surely the nail in the coffin for their credibility.
