Show All 17 ReviewsAn excellent, clean and quiet pressing! Sound quality is awesome, great bass gives the subs a great workout, I haven't compared this to any other pressings, originals, or remasters, and am glad I took the advice of the fanatics who review these pressings, haven't been steered wrong yet. Thank you for sharing your obsession!

I have listen 15 Pressings of the album at the momment including the Original "Direct Metal Mastering" pressings and I must to say that this pressing is one of the best I have listen from the album. Much better than any "DMM" pressing (US,EU ect). "DM" mastering killed the truly atmosphere and depth of the album, and also the album sounded more thinner than ever. To the opposite, this pressing is very balance all around. It sound thicker, more atmospheric with more mass in your space. Also the instruments more powerful and heavier.
All in all, is not the best pressing of the album but unexpectedly it comes next at 2nd place. This 20 bucks vinyl, beatted any original "DMM" pressing in my humble opinion. Also has the original sound and not the mediocre remastered sound that come out late in 2018. This is the best vinyl was made by "Blackened". If you are not maniac for the best audiophile sound that it cost 5 times more and you want a decent album version, this is your best choice. Get a copy before is too late.

Compered this pressing with original first press Europe 1988 Vertigo – 836062-1. Original sounded more dynamic and "analog". Still excellent pressing 8 of 10. Also sound signature is the same, bass shy.

Top notch pressing: recommended. (y) Don't expect a different mix; kick and toms are freakin huge, so, there is plenty of bass on this record, just not much bass guitar.
Great sound and good pressing EXCEPT crackling on the first few minutes of first track on side four "To live is to die". Vinyl quality of that track is not as good as the other tracks unfortunately. Maybe the stamper was worn out at some point so not all copies might be affected? The 2 different copies I had access to and listened to were affected though. Anybody else experiencing this?

Great pressing indeed. This is the original 1988 master transfered respectfully and carefully into quality vinyl 30 years later. My original 1988 CD always sounded very good, but this excellent vinyl repress has a bit more air to it, and sounds fresher. I can't imagine the upcoming remaster will make a big difference here.
