Eric Thielemans: a Snare is a Bell . Solowork for snaredrum and Voice . The material on this record forms the core of my soloperformance "a Snare is a Bell".
For the live version of this work i collaborated with Philip Metten who created a total scenography in which the performance takes place . The work is raw and minimal, working on overtones and multiphonics . In real time the duration of the work can go up to 50 minutes. The track on this record was recorded on october 8th 2007, in the "Sint-Augustinuskerk" in Antwerp. No overdubs nor effects were used in the mix. Up to 10 microphones were used to capture the multi layers of overtones created in real time in the church.
Limited to 500 copies, comes in a sleeve with a duo coloured psychic design, and an insert.
