Reviews
- I've listened endlessly to Cohen's music and have come to appreciate the wide soundstage and good mixing and mastering, particularly from the 80's records and onwards. What I found disappointing about this record, is that the mix is rather poor, with voices and instruments all together, somewhere in the background. The soundstage is also rather flat. Now, I'm aware of the fact that many people don't appreciate the album as much as many of the others, due to the lyrics and songwriting craft which aren't really on the same level, but still: sonically this album (or maybe just this particular pressing?) isn't worth collecting.
