- does anyone else have a promo copy of this press? “promotional record for broadcast & review / not for sale” label on back of sleeve but nothing on my actual record labels...
Edited 4 years agoAccording to the internet the original JA press of this album is different than what was eventually released on Island. Supposedly they remixed it to make it more commercial-sounding and even speeded up the tapes (to the group's dismay).
There is post over on the site of Blood and Fire about this issue and it seems to be that: ‘For anyone seeking the original JA mix you'll want to find a copy either on Fox with matrices TS-7969-A / TS-7969-B or a copy on Wolf with matrices TS-7969-A / B Burning Spear.’
