Sounding like something of a cross between Kylie Minogue and St. Vincent, U.S. Girls returns for her sixth studio album with renewed vigour and political fire. With a lot to say on ingrained political chauvinism, she articulates her message in a number of styles – fifties pop, disco, glam rock – while never losing the thread.

I have a copy with the locked groove on side A, but mine also has some grooves around the label. My turntable has automatic return, so I can't drop the stylus that close to the label. If anyone has a copy with these grooves and their turntable can play them, can you let me know what they are?

I tried two separate copies of this LP and had a skipping issue on the last song, "Incidental Boogie", on side 1. It gets to the very end of the song and then continuously skips on the last several seconds. Could have been a bad batch shipped out, but I was wondering if this issue happened with anyone else's copy? I did reach out to the 4AD label to notify them.

Music wise, the album is a stellar collection of songs! Highly recommended.
