- How is it possible that it is a limited edition of 500 copies and you have more than 900 people in the discogs database?
- Edited 4 years agoGreat FDR re-issue from Earache. I picked this up on the cheap on amazon, not long after it was released. Crunchy textured analog sound with great instrument separation, depth, detail and a three-dimensional quality to the sound that is simply not present in a 2016 Metal Blade re-issue, that despite being pressed at Pallas, sounds two-dimensional and compressed by comparison.
- Does anybody else have this HDR pressing and have serious crackling noise? I've tried two completely different turntables both with new stylus, have dry cleaned and washed the two LPs and it sounds - in sections, not all of it - like it's been played a thousand times.
- OH YEA!! just as good as the cd! and a gorgeous double lp gatefold presentation! the full colour center labels are killer too!
- Holy S**t! If you are considering buying this then for any reason that doesn't have to do with money then stop, go buy a copy while you can! If you're like me and this happens to be one of your favorite MA albums but up until now you've only heard it on cd then you will be soooo damn happy to own this. It is an FDR pressing (mastered from the original tapes) even though it doesn't say so in the catalogue info which is weird, but as soon as you play it (make sure to always clean your new vinyls before first playing them because all new vinyl comes with an anti-mold coating to go into stores) you will hear this beautiful album like never before! I am just now hearing amazing things I've never heard in this album before and the sound is so warm and yet bright and clear that there's even a greater appreciation I now have for all the amazing performances that went into this album. Plus having the really cool artwork blown up big is so badass. Really they did a top notch job on this FDR pressing on everything from the sound of the recording to the artwork and packaging. I'm beyond impressed, this has to be one of my best/favorite vinyl purchases ever and that includes the purchase of an original 1988 Canadian pressing of Metallica's "And Justice For All" vinyl that I found a week ago in the record store for $30 that has no skipping or playback issues. Damn I love vinyl!
