Enjoy The Toons Records, in conjunction with Hasbro, Inc. and Sony Music/Legacy Recordings is proud to announce the release of Hasbro Studios Presents '80s TV Classics: Music from The Transformers on limited edition colored vinyl. This is the first official release of the score in any format - the album includes 45 minutes of unreleased music including the iconic opening theme song, composed Robert J. Walsh and Johnny Douglas. The album features music from seasons 1-3 of The Transformers animated series which debuted in 1984.
Hasbro Studios Presents '80s TV Classics: Music from The Transformers features a mix of orchestral and ‘80s inspired synth tracks which have been remastered from the original tapes by composer Robert J. Walsh. This limited edition album also features original artwork. Enjoy The Ride Records is the exclusive retailer for two variants - Optimus Prime (Blue and Red Stripe With Gray Splatter) and Megatron (Gray with Purple Splatter). Each variant is limited to 500 copies.
This version is the THINKGEEK exclusive variant "Bumblebee" (Yellow and Black stripe) and is limited to 1000 copies.

After being announced by Sony years ago, it's disappointing that this is what we ended up with. Several tracks from the score are missing (notably the rock & roll/dance song that was also used in G.I. Joe), and others are incomplete, shortened versions (Prepare, for one example). The theme music from the second and third seasons are missing as well as both ending themes. Most glaringly of all is that the first season theme song on this disc is an early, rough version and NOT what was in the series. I don't know if all of this was done to keep this on one disc, but this certainly didn't live up to the years of expectation.- Very BAD sound quality, the volume is too low and there is a lot of vinyl noise.
The Theme song is NOT in its original mix: the "robot effect" on the voices is MISSING.
The ending theme is missing. Very disappointing. - Small note, this soundtrack Includes the maintheme but with an incorrect vocal track, Placeholder vocals
