Agree with comments here that pressing is bad. Great music no doubt. Mine copy is also warped too.

This might be the April 2021 repress mentioned below. I'm going to order a copy and I will report back.

Any word of a repress? Seems to have been out of print for a while now.

Just wondering, do the spines of modern Impulse records still have the classic orange + black Coloured as the ones from the past?

Yes, not a good pressing. C1 - my favourite track - skips a lot on mine, straight out of a sealed copu, yet there isn't a blemish to be seen. Some achievement with barely 14 minutes to the side.

Anyone know where you can download the title tune with joshua? Was it ever released?

Thumbing their nose at resurging British nationalism and monarchism, Sons of Kemet present nine pieces of feverish jazz as tributes to nine black women from history they deem more deserving of reverence than our queen. Woven into the album are dozens of other musical styles ranging from funk to grime, all played on the same simple set-up of tuba, sax and drums.

Great music, but the pressing is terrible! Hopefully, the CD sounds better. Way too much noise on the vinyl.

Any info on the pressing quality? I hope it does not sound as the previous one

The April 2021 repress has little of the depictions of users here. Perhaps someone at Impulse is looking here or responded to feedback. The twin vinyl slabs are flat, stiff (likely 150gm at least) and noise-free, even on first play without a prior rinse. Your Queen is not as dry sounding, shut-in and dynamically-constricted as their first two albums on Naim Jazz; the obvious benefit of spreading 9 songs over 2 LPs.
