I've been listening to this record for 30 years. One of the first records I bought while still in school. Ruthless Compassion always, always, gives me chills.
Monstrous early 90s techno with Detroit,U.K. and European influences in the sounds.
I'm always amazed by music's power to continually elicit an emotional response even after listening to a single song so many times. For me, Ruthless Compassion is a near perfect track and every time I hear it I'm instantly taken to a space in my mind that is both peaceful and life-giving. Beautiful music for a broken world.
the whole release is a masterpiece, of course, but, Ruthless Compassion makes me speechless.
