Reviews
- Edited 13 years ago"Gimme More" sees a post-delusioned Britney find the exact balance between candy pop hooks (the trademark "it's Britney bitch!" intro, the everlasting chorus) and a quite daring electronic adventurous production (which becomes more obvious listening to the instrumental, full of weird and attractive synth noises beautifully spacialized).
In my opinion, this is one of the 3 or 4 songs that actually matter on a "pop music" perspective (ie. memorable tune crossed with audacious, contemporary production and sounds) from an overall generic and ubermarketed pop puppet.
