This kept appearing in my YouTube recommendations and I wondered if there was much behind the hype. A few tracks in, I found it to be decent if a little simple, but the longer I listened the more I succumbed to the tape hiss and plaintive vocal samples, and by the time I got the end of the album, I just dragged the play bar back to the beginning and listened again. It’s as if he’s transplanted the naïve optimism of nineties new age music to present day house, and the effect is beautifully melancholic.

I mostly liked this album, but the last track is really cringey, it killed it for me.

Still, after the release of The Phantasy and the Rave Loveletter, the DJ Healer lp remains my favorite post-Giegling Prince release. The totally underrated God's Creation is in my Top3 tracks from him.

One of those rare albums that feels like it’s speaking to you yet universal in its expression. A real classic imo, hugs take care out there

So there are 10 different covers? Could everybody post its cover art if it varies from the existing ones? Would be interesting to see them all... mine's posted allready. THX

Far too over dramatic it doesn't work for me. Think this has a long shelf life ??

ludelubbock You added a note to the release info: “"Gods Creation" uses almost the entirety of Stars of the Lid's "I Will Surround You" without credit.”. This is just not true. If you listen carefully, it’s just the very first seconds of a 10 minute track that changes in tonality after 2 Minutes. So talking about “almost the entirety” is complete nonsense and should be corrected. Also you probably don’t know if dj healer may or may not have an agreement with stars of the Lid to use these samples, so please be careful with what you write in release notes! I wouldn’t mind this note completely removed from the release info, for the given reasons.

It's more like a basic 3-chord ambient sample. He added significant drums and vocals. Should be at least credited though, obviously.

the track "god's creation" is actually the creation of Stars of the Lid, their track entitled "I Will Surround You" from their Avec Laudenum album, this hack just played the song and then took a crap over it, outrageous theft without licensing or proper credit

Not that special honestly. I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would spend £100+ on this but that's me. The PoD album was a lot lot better for me.
