Not good. Ive not got an original to compare this to but the high frequencies on this are nasty. I noticed it most on Ive Got An Angel where theres a high hat or shaker sound that runs throughout the song. It sounds like someone rubbing sandpaper together. Really shrill and it stands out in the mix.
One for ebay I suspect
Im using a Technics SL 1500C with an Ortofon Red.

This version is not great, but okay. Mine came with two 'spots' where the needle skipped. I tried cleaning it first with a soft microfibre cloth. The spots sort of 'cracked' and I noticed that the spot now became a small streak. I tried cleaning with a cleaning machine, but the streaks didn't go away. Now the needle does not skip, but a huge distortion on that spots still exists. Never had anything like this. Not too bad to send it back though.
Can anybody say a few words about this new mastering ? How is it different from the usual one we know ?
