- Edited 4 years agoI love Zero 7, but this product feels and looks super cheap, not worth the cash. Seems likes a lazy cash grab
- Zero 7 is one of my favorite bands out of the UK from the early 1980s. over the years I have bought virtually all their vinyl releases. They have had numerous lead singers; including Sia, Tina Dico and even Carina Andersson. Thier sound is a mellow synth pop with very good melodies. Destiny and in the waiting line are simply outstanding songs, imho.
- Do not buy this. The package is flimsy and made of cheap wrap around paper which after a few listens can easily fall apart. The 45s are in a cheap non coloured sleeve. The vinyl itself is dirty, bubbled and unable to play. Poor package rush job and it isn't cheap. Shame. This band deserves better. Also, be aware that they are all short edits of the original versions.
- Edited 6 years agoGreat little box with most of the essential Zero 7 tracks (IMO)
Love to finally have Pop Art Blue, Swing and Dreaming on vinyl, although I would have loved to have Throw it all Away and Mr McGee on this compilation as well.
That would make it very complete ;-)
The choice to split Somersault into two sides is the weirdest ever though. I understand having a compilation of 7 x 7" records is pretty cool when your bandname is Zero 7, but this it just mutilation pur sang..
The pressing seems very decent. It isn't very loud, but good enough and it sounds very crispy. No surface noise can be heared during the tracks
The box is somewhat flimsy and made of thin carton. The inner sleeves are sadly plain coloured instead of the fine artwork of the first albums.
All together really happy with this release and a fine addition to my Zero 7 collection - Edited 6 years agoWhat's the use of this box, if a regular fan CAN NOT AFFORD buying second album? It's price is $180 and even more for a copy!
