Edited one year agoA fantastic box set - what an amazing experience it must have been to live in a community with all these amazing artists. Kudos to Robert Raths and his team for curating and executing such a cool project.
Got this about two weeks ago. Records sound great. The box set packaging looks cool, but it's barely been a couple of weeks and it's starting to come unglued at the seams. Looks good but lasting quality is questionable right now.- I didn't have much luck w/ pressing quality unfortunately. LP's 1 and 2 have a "brushing" sound almost throughout the entire side. What blew my mind was that the label said they pressed zero extra clear LP's for quality issues.
- Edited 4 years agoIts being re-released in another 1000 pieces on vinyl and another 1000 pieces on cd. Release date is 19/6 if I am not mistaken. The price will be the same as it was on RSD and most of the offers here!
Edited 4 years agoThis is by far the best press of anything I have in vinyl. The presentation is exquisite and the record sounds unbelievably rich and dynamic. This recording sends me to a place where I have time to be silent. I am not going to comment on the musical quality of these pieces. It suffices to say it's original, special, and a cerebral project that works deep inside the emotional landscape of the listner. This release is not meant for everyone to have. This collection sounds like it was made by musicians who didn't care about pecuniary gains.- It's a lovely release. Very nice press, and well presented.
- Such a shame it's $300 in Australia. That's $50 per side. :(
- I was really looking forward to this release but that 100 GBP pricepoint is a joke
A stunning album. Overall, a rich sounding, clean pressing. The accompanying book is a nice touch. However I am disappointed that my copy has ~3 or so little anomalies that produce small bursts of noise.
