https://www.discogs.com/release/4142927-Bob-Dylan-The-50th-Anniversary-Collection-The-Copyright-Extension-Collection-Vol-I - We would love insight into as to why Columbia completely cut out Richard Alderson. Here is an interview with Richard speaking about those nights, and the recordings.
https://dylanlive.substack.com/p/richard-alderson-on-recording-dylans - Barbara allen is a traditionall Irish folk song. There are many versions of it, Dylan never made an official recording of it. Joan Baez did, which is very good recording, into getting to know the song. There are many boot legs of Dylan material, this one I wouldn,t pay it any mind. It,s just one of the many boot leg of Bob. The exception on this CD is Barbara Ellen and Dylan made a poor recording of it. If you are looking for better recordings of the song, Try traditional Irish Folk music and you get the real version of the song. Any stuff of Dylan not offficial is not worth it.Enough said!
