- Today I am parting for good with this precious piece of vinyl, giving it a very last listen and ... gosh, does it sound good! Absolutely essential for any jump up junglist so to relive the spirit of those years, but also a great listen any time of the day, check it out ;)
- This EP is so bloody underrated. All 4 tracks are a slice of 93 pirate radio breakbeat at it's most innovative. It should be up there with the rarer stuff that goes for 40 odd quid imo.
- Edited 4 years agoI've got 2 copies of this. One a promo and the other a regular release copy. I can confirm what 'ozbeatproject' has said below. The tracks are in the wrong order on the record label and also on the back of the outer sleeve for the regular release copy. This applies with both of my copies.
The correct order is as follows:
Ai (Non)Sense
Aii Came To Me
AAi Distance (I Need You)
AAii Good Inside
Maybe someone at Discogs should change the listing above, so that the tracks are displayed in the same order as they occur on the records. 'Came To Me' & 'Good Inside' need to be swapped around. - I first heard Distance(I need you) on an edge tape, the set was by Dj Ratty, it was his start off tune, that whole set is the nuts, one of my favorites of all time, i still listen to it in the motor now! music like this is timeless.
- Edited 7 years agoSpam Vol 1 is a Must Buy as are the remixes..Jazzy Hardcore being simply superb..Dreamscape days..
- Edited 16 years agoWhile not being as anthemic as the orignal Spam E.P and its remixes this E.P was heavily caned by the more forward thinking DJ's in 1993 with Good Inside being the main culprit. Distance (I Need You) is also a criminally ignored masterpiece.
