The version I received from Anti is on clear vinyl. I guess this is a new variant - 87566- 1TCL (Trans Clear) under barcode. This pressing sounds amazing. I purchased Nighthawks At The Diner on red vinyl at my local shop it too sounds incredible. The web site only offers clear or black vinyl. It also says that Closing Time is experiencing quality control issues and will start shipping again once this is resolved. Anti also sends a download code when purchased through their store not included in the LP.
This remaster sounds excellent. Spacious soundstage with Tom's vocals sitting comfortably in the mix. Dynamic and engaging. Lifelike drums and deep, rich bass. Doesn't sound compressed. Warm and full sounding. Piano and horns sound really nice. Very pleased with the nice sound on this one. Pressing is top quality too. Flat and centered and no surface noise whatsoever. Great sonics for a great price.
