I hope they come out with a 12 inch or 7 inch of that track "Wide Awake". Would be a great dance tune to play out.

You can look at any major publication reviewing it and tell that this is a good album, but I was truly wowed when I finally threw this record on. This album delivers a rock solid 14 tracks, where I feel like there are more highs and lows to some previous PQ albums, namely Human Performance. I'll always prefer some of the old stuff, but this has to be the best songwriting over the course of an album they have ever done. While I don't love the idea some of their edges being smoothed out with the slicker sound Danger Mouse brings, I can't deny that I love the production of this album. The band, particularly the vocals, has never sounded better. There is a bit of a disconnect between the artwork, which I find really goofy, and the music to me. It seems designed to fit the title track alone, and it nailed that.

I think I'll be hard-pressed to find another album I like more from this year. C'mon Kamasi Washington! Maybe Deafheaven?!

This is an amazing album. AOTY so far for me without a doubt. My only gripe is the layout of the art/lyric booklet. It is rather fiddly and all round I think its a poor excuse for a 'deluxe' edition. So if you're torn between the deluxe and normal edition i'd say save your pennies. That said, I'd happily pay well above the odds for such a well performed, produced and written album from anyone.
