Surprised that someone else who knows Jamie has not added this little bit of info - the female vocal on "Eruption" was performed by Jamies mum, Larraine Odell - https://www.discogs.com/artist/1189041-Larraine-Odell-2
If you are reading Jamie, hope you and all the family are well and hope to bump into again sometime, seems to happen every 5-10 years!

I would say this whole release has more a 1991 feel to it than '92. More techno influenced UK hardcore as a whole. As others have already mentioned, every track has a unique feel to it. Like them all. But if forced to choose, would go for Passion For Science. It's like an updated hybrid of electro, freestyle, Warp Records bleep techno influenced dark hardcore music. If that actually makes any sense whatsoever :P

Excellent four tracker Ep, this is simply the best release from the mediocre ''Jumpin & Pumpin'' label.
All 4 tunes, are very well constructed, with many things happening through the tracks, breaks, bleeps, techno stabs, from the first era of hardcore techno, each track with its own character and different bpms. The winner: all of them.
Why all EP's couldn't be like this!

            Flag was Jamie Odell.
From Jimpster and Freerange Records fame.

I knew about "Eruption" and bought the record because of it. What a pleasant surprise to find "Hypnotised" which I recognized from Hit The Decks Volume Two - The Battle Of The DJ's - The Ultimate Hardcore Megamix. It has a monstrous synth riff that reminds me of "Technarchy". It's more of a techno track, no breakbeats in it.

Two good tracks makes it a good bargain.

very funny..."passion for science" contains a sample from the throbbing gristle album "heathen earth" :-)
