Notes

The two versions of New Emotion are virtually identical, apart from the intros.

The Full Version has the typical TTF accappella intro, while the Techno version has a "Let's get ready to rumble" vocal intro.

Once the main breakdown starts, the tracks are identical.

On the commercial release 12" (The Time Frequency - EP), the Full Version was retitled "JD Mix" and the Techno Mix was retitled "Original Mix".

New Emotion is one of those oldschool tracks that gets people from the Northern half of the UK all bleary-eyed and reminiscent. And rightly so!

It still holds up as a fine piece of piano-led rave. Pure euphoria, with Mary Kiani's excellent vocals.

The b-side has Higher Than Heaven, which while following the same lines as New Emotion is able to stand up in its own right as well.

Flip back to the a-side, however, for the mother of all T.T.F. tracks: U4IA. This one was used as the intro track when T.T.F. played live, and indeed it fits the bill as party starter very well. Based around a trio of screaming Italo style synths, fast menacing Mentasm stabs and ravey "DJ's Unite" keys along with very well placed vocal samples it deserves to be investigated by anyone into the oldschool (1991-1992) rave scene.

When New Emotion was given full release U4IA was omitted as The Prodigy had remixed the earlier T.T.F. classic "Retribution" (Liam did a decent job, even if he did rip off Egyptian Empire wholesale for it) and obviously such a big name remix had to take 1st place.
