Big tune...for those that know. Big up all original Acid ravers.

I had this to say about it in 2000: One thing you could count on in late-80s house music was blatant, brazen sampling. This track is way over the top with its rip of Maurice's "This Is Acid", yet manages to pull it off extremely well, sounding more like a live DJ mix, overlaying a fat bass line, keys and stuttered diva samples, making any DJ who spins it sound rather skilled. It's a slammin' track, too.

Simply demanding respect certainly isn't enough to actually get it, unless of course your bassline is this freaking hot. This was 28th Street Crew's 15 minutes, even if it borrowed heavily from Maurice's 'This Is Acid' and Jomanda's 'Make My Body Rock'. A fine example of late 80's House. RESPECT!

Can't help moving to this early warehouse tune from the early raving years. Sampling Jomanda - "Make My Body Rock" & Adeva - "Respect". Rough beats - Todd Terry style, a very heavy bassline, and funky, hypnotic keyboards. Choon!
