After reading a couple of reviews I was concerned about pops, crackles etc on the record.
Yes, there are a COUPLE on the first half of the record, on Little Smoke. That was it for my copy at least.
Otherwise no surface noise, sounds super awesome.
If a couple of pops, cracks, etc that are a result of vinyl really fuck you up, then avoid this copy.
If you're okay with that, and recognize it's a part of it then it's all good.
Also this record is the most beautiful thing in my collection, it's gorgeous.

Edit: Rewriting the review as I was pretty frustrated at the time of the original.
I've gotten two copies of this (one replacement thanks to the record label) and both of them have huge noise issues with pops, clicks, and tears. They're extremely noticeable in the quiet sections and even in the very loud sections you might hear some pops. Makes for a frustrating listening experience. Shame, since it's a beautiful-looking record.
The label said that I was the only one to say anything, so maybe there are better copies out there. Your mileage may vary.
