- I'm shocked at how incredible this pressing sounds! Unfortunately mine is warped slightly in center but it doesn't effect sound quality.
- Is there a new pressing that doesn't have a listing yet? matrix runout 247179E1/A on side A and 247179E2/B on side B. everything else is the same
- Edited 3 years agoSurface noise and fidelity are much better than I expected, though it looks really dirty. The packaging is nice and the music is the kind that works great on vinyl.
- Music: A solid, teenage nostalgia-inducing debut indie rock record. The instrumentation is quite straight forward and minimalistic. Despite being so minimal, the songs are not boring. Lindsey Jordan's voice and her melodies are the main attraction of this release. She has a familiar sound to her voice, yet it is not much alike other female vocalists today. I'm curious to hear what direction this group (or just Lindsey Jordan in general) goes from this release.
Pressing: The appearance of the vinyl is a bit cloudy and looking at reflections in the runout reveal a not-so-mirror-like finish. The spindle hole is tight and took some effort to get on my table. There are no etchings to indicate where it was pressed, yet the etchings do reveal the record was mastered at Sterling Sound. Despite the visual flaws, the audio is quite good. I get the occasional light pop here and there but they have diminished after a cleaning and repeated plays.
