Notes
"Eastern" was originally self-released by Timecop and Obe back in June 2018. We don't quite know what led us to this album this year, perhaps aspiration, communion, certainty, a wish to restructure circulation and the way we circulate.
Moving the body and breathing warm words into the bloodstream. Circuitously. "Eastern" is now co-hosted among our two bodies, this duo and our family, ecstatically.
Something is guiding us to move as distinct units. "Eastern" opens with a gently instructive voice that leads us through thoroughfares of addictive drums, ponderous bass lines, growls emitted from circuits and caves, squiggles, the plods of a robot squelching through clay in space.
These songs let themselves wander together and settle somewhere akin to the moment of pressing a finger to a screen and the display suddenly undulating, enclosing us, as in the soft beating of wings. The dialogue of this. The imaginary. The probability. The comfort there.
