Be careful people, there are bootlegs of this particular pressing floating around. No I’m not crazy. Ive had multiple copies of this over the years, selling and rebuying it in my 20s. Bought a “sealed” copy from actual Germany and you can tell its fake upon listening.
This is a wonderful sounding pressing, with both depth and delicacy. Comments about ROL sounding compressed or recessed vocals don’t ring true for me at all. All of these tracks found fantastic here. 5/5
Edited 10 months agoi have this, the germany original. alsdorf in the deadwax. sounds good. exceeded my expectations tremendously and feel 100 percent sure that theres no need for another copy. especially the title track ROL, i feel like its in surround sound/3d effect when i only have a single pair of rogers ls3/5a in front of me and nothing else. exceptional cut.
Grabbed a copy of this in Australia and I’m very pleased with the SQ I did find the track Ray Of Light compressed and lacked punch. I guess it has something to do with the mastering. That said awesome re issue. No pops or clicks on mine and definitely worth the money imo
This pressing is awesome. The sound is very clear. There is a perfect balance of bass and treble. The mastering process should have been amazing. Even the japanese pressing used the same master, I guess.
Just dusted down my original German 1998 pressing (Maverick 9362-46847-1 NM). Bit disapointed with the SQ – recessed vocals and bass heavy on my deck. On a bright sounding system it might work. For sale!!
Edited 2 years ago"groovesland" is obviously selling 2003 re-issues instead of original pressings... Don't get fooled!
A lot of sellers seem to be selling re-issues as the original 1998 release. I got burned. Be careful.
