The sound from this is absolutely incredible! Wow!

Packaging is beautiful and comes with a cool story to read about the production of the record and a huge poster too.

The only two “bad” things is the colour of the records for me and the fact they are warped.

They have a lot of “dirty marks” on the surface, just part of the dye I guess but it makes the records look like dirt needs to be cleaned off but really it’s just non consistent colour across the vinyl.

The records (pink and yellow) are also quite warped, my stylus bounces up and down and when it spins and it has that wavy looking effect to it.

Still sounds perfect though :) and managed to find it on Amazon for AUD$50 so I’m happy.

Edit: theses a pop on the lightsonic track which 2 other people have commented on too

Why isn't "Feel The Same ft. Angie Stone" included in this release? So disappointing

Really attractive package....bought this album on CD the week it first came out and never really took to it, as it was quite a change in direction compared to GA's previous albums....as I own all other GA albums on vinyl, couldn't resist buying the two-colour vinyl. It's a really nicely packaged set....good quality,bold/bright glossy cover, poster, insert, both disks in black, poly-lined sleeves....one pink disc, one yellow disk....both very slightly translucent (I can see the writing on my slipmat underneath through the disk)....powerful, loud, deep sound (very slightly compressed IMHO, but I'm no expert)....only let down is that both discs have black smudges in the vinyl....but I can live with that. Mine has a VERY faint click in 'Lightsonic', but had the previous reviewer not mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed it. Enjoying finally getting into this album (after having owned it for 11 years!!)....hard to believe I took such a dislike to it when it first came out. My fave GA album is still 'Goodbye Country, Hello Nightclub', followed by 'Lovebox'....but listening to 'Soundboy Rock', I can see how GA's sound transitioned from the 'Vertigo' etc era to 'Black Light' and 'Little Black Book' (wish they'd press that whole album on vinyl!!)

Soundboy Rock is a sneaky classic by GA, so happy to see it pressed for the first time. I love the packaging and liner notes, however both the pink and yellow records seem to have some black smudging in the color. Also, my pressing has some clicks during the beginning of Lightsonic, which is a shame really as its during a quiet part of the track.
